Practice makes perfect

Parts 5–7 of the Reading and Use of English section test candidates’ ability in reading different types of text for detail, purpose, opinion, tone and attitude, and repeated practice of the assessment format is key to achieving a passing grade. This resource comprises eight whole Reading tests, answer keys, write-in answer sheets and a marking scheme allowing you to score each test out of 23 marks.

This edition of sample tests has been written to closely replicate the Cambridge exam experience, and has undergone rigorous expert and peer review. You or your students, if you are a teacher, will hopefully enjoy the wide range of essay topics and benefit from the repetitive practice, something that is key to preparing for this part of the test.
